Merry Christmas

We hope you have a Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy 2012!

Simon's Gingerbread house

Simon went to a new level and created a Transformer gingerbread house.

Madison's Gingerbread House

This year Madison decided to recreate Santa's workshop for her gingerbread house.

Silent Night

Here is Madison singing a solo from the song Silent Night. She did a great job and gots lots of compliments on her singing!

Later that day...

Madison tripped on the step from the family room into the kitchen. She fell and hit her head and needed 6 stitches. She was very brave during all of this and the doctor kept Madison occupied by asking her multiplication facts while stitching her up!

All I want for Christmas...

are my 2 front teeth!!

Having some fun in the fall leaves before winter arrives!

Beach Party

Even though it's gotten cold out, the kids figured they would make summer last a bit longer with an indoor beach party (complete with a banana tree they made together)!

Trick-or-Treat!

Happy Simon with his favorite dog!

Our 2 little "monkeys"

...swinging in a tree.

Big News!

Simon asks that you click the picture to see if you can "see" the difference...he sure can!

First Days of school...

Simon was super excited to be heading to first grade!

Madison, on the other hand, was extremely disappointed to be sick and have to miss the first day.

Not to worry, just a few days later and she was as good as new and just as excited for school as Simon was on his first day!

Reptiland

Last week, we took a trip to Reptiland. There were all sorts of creatures to see including a visiting Dinosaur exhibit. One of Jeremy's former students now works at Reptiland and she sure answered a lot of questions. Click here to see what the kids were interested in seeing!

Theater Camp

Madison took a theater class this summer at the Community Theater League. They learned lots of songs and performed them at the end of the week. Some of the favorites were from Mary Poppins and Annie. Click the picture to see a few more pictures of her singing.

Captain America

Bet you can guess which movie Simon recently saw!

Vacation time

This summer we went on vacation to DisneyWorld and also stopped to visit Oma and Opa in North Carolina. We had a great time in the car together and a lot of memories were made. Here are Madison and Simon playing car bingo to help pass some of the time.

Better Late than Never!

It's hard to believe that Simon is 6 already. I'm a little late getting the pictures up, but like the title says, better late than never!! Click the picture above to see some more of the birthday festivities.

Softball

This spring, Madison decided to try softball. She really enjoyed it and had great coaches that really taught her a lot about playing. Click the picture above to see some action shots!

Simon's 1st Field Trip

Last week, Simon's kindergarten class went on a field trip to T&D Cats. It's an animal refuge for exotic felines and wildlife. We heard some intersting (and some sad) stories about the animals they have rescued. Click the photo above to see some more pictures from the trip.
